Israeli Avocado Dip

Here is another great pareve dip that would be great to serve at Rosh Hashanah or at any time!


1 large ripe avocado, mashed

5-6 grape tomatoes

½ large scallion (including green part), chopped

5-6 Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped

Juice of ½ lime or lemon

Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl; serve with tortilla chips, crackers or cut up veggies.
  2. If not serving immediately, slice the other half of the lime or lemon and lay on top of dip in bowl (will prevent avocado from turning brown). Cover with plastic.


  • To ripen an avocado, place in a brown bag at room temperature for several days.
  • Double or triple the recipe for larger quantities.
